Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Compare and contrast the safety, efficacy, and costs of available adjunct topical hemostatic agents
  • Interpret and apply current data to promote responsible treatment selection
  • Implement methods to improve hemostatic practice in the surgical and trauma settings

Target Audience

This educational symposium is designed for perioperative nurses.

Activity Overview

Participants will obtain an activity booklet, including lecture slides and evaluation completion instructions, onsite before the symposium. Participants will be asked to complete the symposium evaluation online following the conclusion of the symposium.

The online evaluation will be available following the symposium, and will remain active for 2 weeks following the live event at http://www.naccme.com/program/2010-388/post/. Participants will be required to register for an account (existing users can sign into an existing account) with naccme.com.

In order to access the program evaluation, participants will be required to enter the email address provided upon registration for the symposium after logging in to naccme.com. The evaluation must be completed in order to immediately print documentation of credit.

All individuals who participate in the symposium and complete and submit the evaluation form online by March 29, 2010 may immediately print their documentation of credit.
