Nanoparticle Drug Delivery May Influence Immune Response in RA

Reported in The Journal of Immunology, Georgia Health Sciences University researchers have found an association between the DNA nanoparticle drug delivery technique and an increased expression of an enzyme that calms the immune response in animals. This finding suggests therapeutic value of this technique for autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, through inflammation reduction.

New Compounds May Help Inhibit Arthritis and Other Inflammatory Conditions

A new study from Scripps Research Institute has identified the first compound able to block PRMT1, an enzyme associated with inflammatory conditions, such as arthritis. The research may facilitate the development of pharmacologic treatments for inflammatory conditions and cancers.
